Diesel Truck Mechanic

Diesel Mechanic Truck Technician Peterbilt of Bethany is seeking experienced Class 8 and Medium Duty truck technicians for a challenging career in the transportation industry. Eligible candidates must be capable of working on electronic engines (MX, Cummins, and CAT) as well as internal and external components. They should possess skills for preventive maintenance, DOT annual inspections, general truck and trailer repairs, and related duties. Job Overview Factory training is available on specific systems and electronic diesel engines for CAT, Cummins, and MX Paccar. The role requires a positive attitude, strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, teamwork, computer literacy, and a strong desire to serve customers. Responsibilities Perform electronic engine diagnostics and repairs (MX, Cummins, CAT). Conduct diesel engine repair (MX, Cummins, CAT). Execute accurate and complete vehicle inspections (DOT, PM). Diagnose and repair ABS, HVAC, electrical systems, and air brakes. Repair and adjust wheel ends and perform suspension and steering diagnostics. Carry out PM maintenance efficiently and accurately. Adhere to all warranty policies and procedures. Use electronic technical manuals and resources for diagnostics and repair. Provide accurate documentation on repair orders. Schedule & Location Shifts: 8‑hour and 10‑hour (with overtime options). Hours: Day shift, Monday through Friday, weekends as needed. Location: 389 S 39th St, Bethany, MO 64424 (in‑person work). Qualifications Experience with Class 8 and Medium Duty truck technology. Knowledge of electronic engine systems (MX, Cummins, CAT). Ability to perform DOT inspections and maintenance tasks. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Computer literacy and multitasking ability. Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen. Compensation Job Type: Full‑time Salary: $20.00–$45.00 per hour Shift options include 8‑hour, 10‑hour, and overtime. Service Technician Referral Program – earn up to $5,000.
