Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Weekends Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to obstetrical patients throughout all stages of labor and delivery
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and administer medications as ordered
• Carry out and evaluate the effects of provider orders in a timely and accurate manner
• Document all care provided in accordance with facility policies and accreditation standards
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity of patient care
• Float to other units as needed and adapt to varying patient ratios based on stage of labor

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact state
• Current BLS certification
• Current NRP certification
• Current ACLS certification (must have been obtained within the last 6 months)
• CPI certification must be in hand prior to start date
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech electronic health records system (onsite training available if needed)
• Prior Labor and Delivery experience in a travel or high-acuity setting
