Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Azure & Snowflake Data Platform Engineer to design, implement, and oversee scalable, enterprise-grade data platforms. This role involves translating complex business requirements into robust technical architectures that support large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and analytics while enabling real-time insights across the organization, including post-merger and acquisition scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Platform Architecture & Engineering

• Design Azure-based Snowflake data platform architectures that support both current and future data needs, including M&A requirements.
• Build high-performance data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery across data lakes, data warehouses, real-time streaming, and event-driven architectures.
• Develop reusable patterns for data ingestion, modeling, and delivery leveraging Snowflake, Azure Cloud, dbt, and Matillion.
• Ensure data architecture aligns with master data strategy, enterprise business objects, and real-time integration initiatives.

Business Intelligence & Analytics Enablement

• Architect Power BI enterprise reporting models with semantic layers and governed datasets.
• Define and enforce BI best practices, including version control, workspace management, row-level security, and usage optimization.
• Support Microsoft Fabric and Power BI Service evolution toward real-time analytics and cross-ERP insights.

Integration Strategy & M&A Support

• Drive integration architecture across multiple ERP systems, aligning to an enterprise object model.
• Lead technical assessment, mapping, and onboarding of newly acquired companies from a data and BI integration perspective.
• Evaluate current data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL pipelines to identify redundancies and opportunities for consolidation.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong experience with Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, dbt, Matillion, and Power BI.
• Proven expertise in data platform design, ETL/ELT pipeline development, and data modeling.
• Solid understanding of enterprise data architecture, master data management, and integration strategies, especially in M&A contexts.
• Hands-on experience with real-time streaming, event-driven architectures, and cross-ERP analytics.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and solutioning skills.
