Civil Litigation Attorney

We are a respected Jacksonville-based law firm dedicated to providing exceptional legal representation and strategic counsel to businesses, professionals, and individuals throughout Florida. We are seeking a talented Civil Litigation Attorney to join our growing litigation team. Responsibilities
-Manage a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
-Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents.
-Conduct legal research and develop case strategy.
-Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
-Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances.
-Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation, exhibit management, and trial strategy.
-Negotiate settlements and advise clients on litigation risks and business objectives.
-Maintain regular communication with clients while providing practical legal guidance.
-Collaborate with partners and support staff to deliver exceptional client service.
-Stay current on Florida statutes, case law, and procedural developments.

 

Qualifications
-J.D. from an accredited law school.
-Active membership in the Florida Bar in good standing.
-3+ years of civil litigation experience preferred.
-Experience handling commercial litigation, business disputes, professional liability, insurance defense, construction litigation, or general civil litigation is highly desirable.
-Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
Deposition, motion practice, and courtroom experience.
-Excellent organizational and case management abilities.
-Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
-Outstanding communication and client relationship skills.
