Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in an inpatient float capacity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients across multiple medical-surgical units, including floating between Thompson, Farnum, and Kingsbury units as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients in a medical-surgical environment.
• Participate in patient and family education to enhance recovery and well-being.
• Provide leadership by collaborating with ancillary nursing and other healthcare personnel.
• Maintain professional nursing standards in the clinical setting.
• Care for an adult-geriatric patient population.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including cardiac drips and other critical interventions on the stepdown unit.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience.
• Proficient in using electronic medical records, specifically EPIC.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Must be able to float to different units as needed during shifts.
• Experience with cardiac drips and clinical practices related to stepdown care is required.
• Active New Hampshire RN license must be in-hand at the time of profile submission.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.

Shift and Scheduling

• 12-hour night shifts with a firm 48-hour weekly guarantee.
• Every other weekend and holiday availability are required.
• No on-call requirements.
• Requested time off must be submitted and verified upon upload; no more than 5 days will be accepted.

Additional Information

Travelers must possess their own vehicle for transportation between units. Professional dress code requires traveler-provided scrubs without logos. Orientation will not be billable, and compliance with medical and occupational health requirements must be completed in a timely manner.
