Job Overview As a Beauty Brand Expert at Macy’s, you are the go‑to authority for your assigned brand, responsible for driving sales, elevating the customer experience, and leading with passion, expertise, and style. You serve as a product educator and beauty enthusiast – creating personalized routines, demonstrating new trends, and helping customers look and feel their best. You inspire teamwork, coach fellow Beauty Advisors, and lead by example through exceptional service and product knowledge. You foster customer loyalty, build relationships through clienteling, and execute brand strategies, events, and training with store leadership and vendor partners. With a deep understanding of your brand and strong business acumen, you analyze sales data, identify opportunities, and deliver results in a fast‑paced, goal‑driven environment. Daily Activities Set the tone for the day by reviewing sales goals, staying informed on new launches and beauty trends, and ensuring the counter is polished and ready for customers. Welcome customers with genuine hospitality, engage in personal conversations, and build lasting relationships. Maintain a shoppable space: keep testers clean, signage and pricing up to date, and displays aligned with brand standards. Support merchandising updates and keep the space visually appealing throughout the day. Encourage the team to share loyalty benefits, help customers leave with everything they need, and end each interaction with a sincere thank‑you. Model collaboration, honesty, and care to help the team provide exceptional service. Continuously improve performance, meet sales goals, and learn from peers to deliver results for the store. Responsibilities Deliver exceptional customer service through personalized consultations and expert product knowledge. Build lasting relationships with clients and drive client development through outreach and follow‑up. Review and analyze sales performance daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annually to grow business. Plan and execute in‑store and vendor‑led events to drive traffic and engagement. Maintain brand standards through merchandising, hygiene, and stock replenishment. Collaborate with vendors, stylists, and store leadership to optimize outcomes. Resolve customer concerns in a professional, customer‑first manner. Stay informed on new launches, best‑sellers, and beauty trends to support team education. Manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment with strong attention to detail. Demonstrate sound judgment and a passion for the beauty industry. Acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits. Qualifications 3–5 years of relevant retail, beauty, or leadership experience preferred. Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality. Excellent communication skills; able to understand and convey information to customers, co‑workers, and supervisors. Read and understand employment policies, safety rules, and procedures in English. Essential physical requirements: talk, lift, move, stand, and reach; stand for at least two consecutive hours; lift at least 25 lb.; stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders; reach above eye level; close vision, color vision, depth perception; use computers and handheld equipment for cash registers and transactions.
