Assistant Costing Manager Job Description 

The Assistant Costing Manager will support the costing function by preparing and analyzing cost reports, budgeting, and cost control activities. In addition to reviewing and approving journals and payments. The role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate financial planning and reporting. You will play a key role in helping the organization maintain efficient operation expenses and manage financial resources effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and analyzing cost reports and budgets.
• Support cost control activities to ensure financial efficiency.
• Collaborate with various departments to collect and analyze cost-related data.
• Monitor and review actual costs against budgets and standards.
• Prepare reports and presentations on cost performance and variance analysis.
• Participate in cost estimation and pricing strategies.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of costing systems and procedures.
• Take ownership in Standard Cost calculations and annual rollup.
• Assist in journal reviews, posting, and payment approvals.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
• Assist with the overall month end close process.
• Assist with other activities that may arise from daily transaction activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of public accounting experience in costing, financial analysis, or a related role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and cost accounting.
• Good understanding of budgeting and financial performance metrics.
• Strong financial reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with financial software and ERP systems.
