Role Overview

The Business Systems Analyst supports reporting, business systems, and analytical initiatives across the organization. This role assists in maintaining NetSuite reporting capabilities, supporting financial and operational analysis, and helping business teams leverage data to make informed decisions.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver reporting solutions. This position offers an opportunity to develop expertise in NetSuite, business intelligence, and process improvement within a fast-paced growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Analytics Support

• Build and maintain reports and dashboards within NetSuite and related reporting tools – NetSuite Analytics Warehouse, NetSuite Budget & Planning
• Support business users with reporting requests and data analysis
• Assist with validating data accuracy and troubleshooting reporting discrepancies
• Help ensure consistency and integrity across reporting environments
• Maintain reporting documentation, data definitions, and report inventories
• Support user adoption and training of reporting tools

Financial Planning & Reporting Support

• Assist Finance with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes
• Support the maintenance of planning templates and reporting structures
• Prepare recurring financial and operational reports
• Assist with data gathering and analysis for planning cycles
• Support ongoing improvements to reporting and planning processes

Business Systems Support

• Partner with Accounting, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Experience, and Marketing teams to support reporting needs
• Assist with NetSuite related tools reporting enhancements and process improvements
• Support system testing and user acceptance testing for system changes
• Investigate and resolve reporting and data-related issues
• Help identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and automate manual tasks
• Assist with creating and maintaining data governance standards and documentation
• Communicate progress, blockers, and timeline changes proactively to stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements Gathering

• Meet with business stakeholders to understand reporting and system needs
• Document business requirements and desired outcomes
• Translate requirements into reporting solutions with guidance from leadership
• Participate in solution reviews and testing activities
• Follow up with stakeholders to validate requirements, confirm deliverables, and ensure successful completion of requests.

Documentation & Process Support

• Maintain documentation for reports, dashboards, and business processes
• Create user guides and standard operating procedures as needed
• Support knowledge sharing and process consistency across teams
• Keep reporting and project documentation current and organized

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Accounting, or related field
• 2–4 years of experience in business analysis, reporting, finance, operations, or business systems roles
• Experience with NetSuite, ERP systems, or business intelligence platforms preferred
• Experience with Excel and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
• Basic understanding of SQL, SuiteAnalytics, or reporting tools is a plus
• Experience supporting business users with reporting and data analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Work Location & Schedule

This position follows an enforced hybrid schedule, requiring team members to be present in our San Diego, California office at least four days per week (Monday–Thursday). Fridays are available for remote work. This role also requires attendance at all in-person monthly team meetings and quarterly company events.

Physical Requirements

This role primarily involves office-based work and requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move items up to 20–30 pounds, such as files or office supplies. Employees should be able to sit or stand for extended periods and perform frequent computer-based tasks, including prolonged exposure to a computer screen.

Compensation & Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $90,000-105,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
