Sales Representative

POSITION SUMMARY:Sales Consultants are responsible for driving revenue by leveraging their expertise in food products, services, and customer needs to deliver tailored solutions. Their role involves identifying opportunities to close sales, expanding existing customer relationships, and acquiring new clients within an assigned territory. Sales Consultants will focus on business growth by maintaining strong customer relationships, managing accounts receivable for their assigned clients, and consistently achieving sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs). Additionally, they are expected to develop new opportunities for business expansion and ensure customer satisfaction.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Manages a geographical sales territory ensuring that independent and regional account business is developed, and budgeted sales and profit objectives are achieved on a monthly basis.Regularly calls on existing and potential customers.Develops and executes business plans.Effectively manages time and resources to attain results.Manages pricing and monitors credit term compliance.Capacity to convey ideas effectively and sell a variety of productsDemonstrate products to prospects and customersAbility to problem solve quickly and creativelyGoal-oriented and driven self-start who can work independently within a team environmentValid Drivers license with clean driving recordReside in geographic vicinity of the territoryEducation and/or Work Experience:Two years of experience in foodservice and/or foodservice sales or marketingExperience in developing leads and researching potential clientsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to make presentationsInterpersonal skills and comfort with meeting new people on a daily basisFamiliarity with relevant software, including Microsoft OfficeAbility to contact customers, complete sales and manage other tasks independentlyTime management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines and close sales in a timely mannerWillingness to adapt and implement new marketing strategies and sales methodsQuick thinking to provide creative solutions that address customers' needs and concernsHS Diploma or equivalent,Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.Relevant Skills:Must have very strong urgency in meeting objectives and deadlines.Requires the ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.Ability to complete tasks under standardized situations with occasional variables.Must be a strategic thinker, inquisitive, innovative, and creative to build relationships, network, link resources and apply business practicesAbility to work effectively in teams and display integrity and honesty to participate and contribute to region team effortsMust be goal driven, have good organizational and administration skills to self-manage and develop discipline and be flexible and coachableMust be able to meet and exceed sales performance goals and execute good time and territory managementPhysical Requirements:Drive personal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, company meetings, etc.Lift/carry laptop and sales materials weighing up to 40 lbs., to and from office, home, car, and customer locations.Must be able to constantly bend, reach above shoulder, grasp objects, climb, kneel, squat, twist, and stand.Regular contact with public, customer representatives, and vendorsWork Environment:Work hours may vary, or change based on department requirements.Daily drivingMultiple customer location environments, i.e.: independent restaurants, institutions, chains, etc.The job is primarily performed in a mobile environment that can be ever changingACCOUNTABILITY:Perform all duties as listed in the job description and for following Company policy and procedures.Obtain goals and objectives as outlined in the job description and as determined by the Operations Manager.Maintain good and effective working relationships among Company personnel, customers, vendors, and brokers. #J-18808-Ljbffr A F Wendling Inc
