Structural Designer (Hybrid/Remote)

VAA's Structural team is responsible for designing, analyzing, and ensuring the integrity of structures across a variety of projects. We work on a diverse range of buildings, infrastructure, and industrial facilities, providing innovative solutions to meet both functional and safety requirements. The team focuses on delivering high-quality structural designs, collaborating with architects, partners, and other engineers to create efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions that adhere to regulatory standards and client specifications. Your role: The Designer works with Engineers and Project Managers to prepare complete construction documents and assists during the construction support phase. Layout plans, sections and details to specified CAD standards working directly with engineers or project managers. Provide direction and distribute work to Technicians. Review and back-check the Technician's work. Coordinate designs with team members and product vendors. Communicate with clients and/or contractors regarding RFI's and field questions. Further develop design skills to support the advancement of technical expertise. Attend internal coordination meetings and client coordination meetings. May require occasional travel for site observations and field measurements. Your resume must include: Certificate in construction-related design/drafting or higher and at least 3 years of directly related experience. OR at least 4 years of directly related experience in lieu of certificate. Starting Hourly Range: $28.00 - $33.50. A variety of factors are considered when determining an offer including, but not limited to, market data, geographic location, experience, and specialized skills.
