Job Description
Title: Charge Nurse - Dialysis

Schedule:
- Shift: Days, 05:30-22:30 (12-hour shift); 3x12s (scheduling dependent on department needs)
- Schedule request: M-F 05:30-22:30; rotating Saturdays; occasional Sundays

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 9 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Requirements:
- NY state nursing license required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Previous charge nurse experience required
- Outpatient/chronic dialysis experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- EPIC charting experience required

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage a four-patient POD and oversee up to 21 stations as the charge nurse
- Administer and monitor outpatient/chronic dialysis care
- Perform cannulation of AV fistula/graft and care for tunneled/non-tunneled catheters
- Manage dialysis-related complications, including hypotension and hyperkalemia
- Administer blood and blood products as needed
- Set up and operate dialysis machines

Compliance / Notes:
- Candidates must have a NY license in hand to submit
- Candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
- Cannot submit candidates with more than 10 days of RTO
- Return staff policy: 1 year
- COVID-19 vaccine: Not required
