Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Naperville, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized care in a fast-paced, critical environment for neonatal patients. Candidates are required to bring their IL Nursing License and certifications on the first day of work.

Job Details:

  • Location: Naperville, Illinois
  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: IL Nursing License, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, minimum of 2 years of core NICU experience, Level 3 or 4 experience preferred, ability to care for critical infants requiring ventilators and CPAP, experience with high flows lines, maintaining a patient ratio of 1:1 for critical patients, 1:2 for growers/feeders, and 1:3-4 for stable neonates. Knowledge of NICU protocols related to prematurity and neonatal transfers.
  • Additional Information: This environment is very fast-paced with approximately 5 admissions daily. Assignments may change during shifts. An orientation of 8 hours (2 hours non-billable) will be provided, with subsequent orientation lasting 4 hours (2 hours non-billable). The role may involve floating to Mothers Baby (MB), Pediatric (Peds), or Elmhurst - Special Care Nursery. Breaks include a 30-minute lunch.
  • Experience Requirements: 0+ years of experience required, with a preference for candidates fitting the detailed clinical experience.
