Hawthorn Topgolf Swing Suites Odessa is looking for an enthusiastic cook to prepare food for our patrons. Follow all recipes on every menu item. Streamlines work from back of house to front of house exceeding customers’ needs and expectations.
Job Responsibilities
- Cleans food preparation areas as determined by law and company policy
- Prepares bulk food items before the arrival of guests
- Makes adjustments to food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns
- Acts as liaison to front-of-house employees to ensure proper food service temperature
- Follow all HAACP and Food safety regulations
- Seasons food according to recipes
- Take out trash as necessary
- Operates various kitchen appliance such as an oven, grill, or saute
- Portions, arranges, and garnishes food based on recipe standard
- Assists other cooks during the food assembly process
- Estimates expected food consumption and organizes preparation per par sheets
- Prepares any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins
- Stays open until the last customer leaves
- Cleans up after kitchen business hours
- Communicates with management about meal service
- Prepare kitchen station area and garnish needed for drinks
- Restock and replenish inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures outlined by management
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Resume and proven working experience as a cook
- Excellent knowledge of mixing, preparing and serving menu items
- Strong communication skills
- Top Notch time management skills
- Ability to stand and or walk for 8 hours
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Point of sale operation knowledge
- Knowledge of a second language is a plus, but not a requirement
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to be on time and in Full Uniform by designated shift start time
- Must have current TABC and FOOD HANDLERS certification
