divh2Production Supervisor/h2pDirect and organize team members to meet daily production goals and ensure all standards and customer commitments (safety, quality, output, efficiency and on-time delivery) are met./ppMaintain employee timekeeping, time off requests and absences through the time management system and internal MES system./ppResponsible for interviewing and hiring production personnel./ppActively participate in, review and suggest methods of process improvement./ppEnsure production team is acting within the company guidelines and procedures./ppEvaluate employee performance on a continual basis and provide continuous performance feedback. Collaborate with HR to recommend corrective action, disciplinary actions and resolve any other personnel issues./ppDevelop, train, and mentor production Leads and other employees./ppCreate and sustain a positive atmosphere on the production floor./ppMaintain product quality by enforcing organization standards./ppEnsure operation of equipment by assisting maintenance team is adhering to preventative maintenance schedules./ppMonitor atmosphere on the production floor and report back to management areas of opportunity./ppHelp in the creation of policies relating to the production floor./ppDocument and maintain training records for all production employees. Prepare and submit reports to management as required./ppMaintain and enforce safe work practices and ensure all employees adhere to environmental, safety, and health standards./ppChampion of 5S methodology./ppResponsible for Key Performance Indicators: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost./ppParticipate in the review of non-conformities in the production process./ppEnsure tasks are performed according to organizational requirements for quality management and environmental, health and safety standards, policies and procedures./ppAbility to learn employee guidebook to help direct employees as needed./ppPerform other duties as assigned./ppAssociates or Bachelors degree in manufacturing management and 3-5 yrs. experience as a production supervisor or equivalent combination of education and experience required./ppPrior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience in heavy industrial equipment manufacturing and/or in large generators or motors preferred. Must possess strong knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes./ppExperience supervising in a Union environment preferred./ppWorking knowledge of 5S/6S/lean manufacturing concepts required./ppWorking knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word) required./ppStrong communication and leadership skills./ppAbility to interpret blueprints./ppAbility to train and motivate others./ppAbility to multi-task and set priorities./ppGreen Belt certificate desirable./ppAbility to speak Spanish desirable./p/div
