The Senior Data Scientist will work in a cross-functional team environment under the direction of the Ecosystem Director of Analytics. In addition to other responsibilities, this position will maintain the core business reporting and forecasting that the org relies on, and develop high-leverage data models to improve the efficiency of the entire Insights department.In this role, you will:Maintain and evolve core business reporting to analyze fluctuations across our core businesses — decomposing the underlying factors and isolating the causal influence of external events and internal activationsBuild, maintain, analyze, and leverage time series forecasting methods to anticipate ecosystem trends and inform Finance and Product planningDevelop and maintain core data models leveraged by the entire department, improving consistency, efficiency, and analytical leverage across teamsPerform executive deep dives on high-priority subjects relevant to the Fortnite ecosystem, translating complex analysis into clear narratives for leadershipBuild a deep understanding of our products and become an expert on all analytics data collectedTake accountability for the quality of data reported by our products, and work with engineering and QA to consistently monitor and improve our dataSupport users of our self-service data pipeline, helping them understand the data they are using and teaching them appropriate methods to access and summarize itCollaborate with the ecosystem analytics team to enhance data-driven decision-making across the organizationWhat we're looking for:Required Qualifications:Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist or in a related fieldExpertise with SQL and PythonFamiliarity with time series modelingDemonstrated skills in predictive analytics, especially within complex and high-dimensional environmentsStrong written and verbal communication skills with experience delivering presentations to senior leadership, including C-suite executivesDemonstrated understanding of both contemporary video games and analytics best practicesPreferred Qualifications:Expertise with machine learning and PySparkExperience with time series forecasting libraries such as ProphetExperience developing and leveraging AI workflowsExperience with causal inference methodsPassion for the gaming industryEPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFEOur intent is to cover all things that are medically necessary and improve the quality of life.
