Main Street,Lovington, NM, 88260,United States Employee Type Full-Time Manage Others No Name Rodney Kemp The Behavioral Health Therapist counsels behavioral health program participants individually or in group settings. Acts as an intermediary between patients and their medical providers, family members and other appropriate contacts. Helps assess and resolve behavioral issues stemming from a medical cause. Maintains records of the patient's treatments and progress while adhering to privacy and safety protocols. Key qualifications: a master’s degree, a license or board certification, and two years' experience are required. Performs psychosocial assessments and discharge planning for high risk patients and documents patient contacts Provides crisis intervention and emotional support to patients and families on bio-psychosocial issues. Provides consultation to physicians and hospital staff re; psychosocial issues, bioethical issues and discharge problems Develops and maintains working relationships with community agencies and makes referrals to appropriate resources Performs basic administrative tasks related to the job; updating community resource list, statistics, reports and other routines as required.
