Laboratory TechnicianImmediate need for a full-time Laboratory Technician for a 13-week contract with flexible scheduling. The technician will work four 10-hour shifts from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, primarily from Wednesday to Saturday, adjusting based on facility needs.Essential Job Responsibilities:Adhere to UNIVERSAL PRECAUTIONS standards.Understand and comply with laboratory policies and procedures.Show dependability in attendance and punctuality, and follow instructions effectively.Perform venipuncture with skill.Conduct daily quality control and maintenance in compliance with guidelines.Complete testing efficiently and accurately.Operate and troubleshoot chemistry analyzers.Operate and troubleshoot urinalysis analyzers.Operate and troubleshoot hematology analyzers.Operate and troubleshoot coagulation analyzers.Perform blood bank testing, including type, RH, antibody screening, compatibility testing, and quality control.Conduct miscellaneous testing such as serological/microbiology testing and microscopic examinations.Communicate important information with co-workers, supervisors, fellow employees, and physicians.Maintain overall quality of performance and professional conduct.Qualifications:Must possess ASCP or AMT certification at the time of submission.Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.Blood bank experience is a plus.Ability to wear any color scrubs as required by the facility.Location: City, State
