Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing across all entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
• Manage payroll calendars, cut-offs, validations, approvals, and payment runs
• Manage relationships with payroll vendors, banks, and statutory authorities
• Lead the migration of payroll processes and data from legacy systems to the target payroll platform, from planning and design through cutover and hypercare
• Define migration scope, data mapping, and cleansing requirements, and oversee data validation
• Plan and oversee parallel payroll runs, user acceptance testing, and go-live readiness
• Document current and future-state processes, controls, and work instructions
• Manage risks, issues, and dependencies, and keep project plans and status reporting current
• Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with HR, Finance, IT, Legal, entity leaders, and senior executives
• Develop and execute a stakeholder engagement plan for each migration and entity transition, identifying key stakeholders, their concerns, and their level of influence.
• Lead the transition of payroll entities/acquired entities into the SSC, including scoping, knowledge transfer, process harmonization, and stabilization
• Standardize policies, processes, and controls across entities while accommodating local legal requirements
• Define and track SLAs, KPIs, and service delivery metrics
• Identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and continuous improvement
• Lead, coach, and develop a payroll team, setting clear objectives and building succession and cross-training coverage
• Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and customer service

Success Measures (First 12 Months):

• Payroll accuracy and on-time delivery rates at or above target
• Successful, on-schedule migration with no material post-go-live issues
• Agreed entities transitioned into the SSC with defined SLAs in place
• Clean audit outcomes and strengthened control environment
• Improved stakeholder satisfaction and engaged, well-covered team

Other Key Requirements of the Successful Candidate:

• 8-10 years or more of Payroll / Timesheets experience in a global company
• Min of 5 years of payroll management experience
• BA or BS in Accounting preferred
• Willingness to work on a mid-day shift to provide support to internal and/or external parties in the Asia-Pacific region and Europe
