Senior Piping S3D Designer

Job Overview:

Responsibilities:

Plan, develop, coordinate, and review design work within a PD&P design work group for medium-sized projects.

Produce drawings and documentation in accordance with established design scope, including earthwork, drainage, road design, foundations, and steel detailing.

Ensure PD&P system designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate daily technical activities with engineers, designers, drafters, and cross-functional teams.

Communicate complex technical issues and recommend solutions to leadership.

Facilitate technical discussions with clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

Prepare and oversee design estimates and work plans aligned with project scope, schedule, and budget.

Develop Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design guides, and standard applications.

Coordinate with client representatives to obtain approvals across project phases.

Review engineering drawings, calculations, and bid summaries for accuracy and quality.

Mentor and support junior designers and drafters through on-the-job training and development.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent with 8–10 years of relevant experience, or 12–14 years of related work experience.

Experience in plant design and piping within large industrial or manufacturing environments.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of CAD design, drafting techniques, and engineering drawing interpretation.

Advanced experience with 3D modeling tools including AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.

Expertise in developing and managing BIM models with LOD 100–500 specifications.

Experience modeling complex piping systems, pipe supports, and mechanical equipment.

Experience in large-scale industrial projects such as semiconductor fabs or data centers.

Knowledge of modularization, OSM, and modular piping design execution.

Strong experience in multi-disciplinary coordination and 3D model management.

Ability to interpret and integrate drawings and documents from multiple engineering disciplines.

Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global project environment.

Willingness to travel or relocate to project sites as required.
