In this role, you'll work on impactful projects that help bring solar, battery storage, and other renewable energy developments to life across New England and beyond.If you enjoy solving complex engineering challenges, collaborating with talented multidisciplinary teams, and seeing your work make a real-world impact, we'd love to hear from you.Your ImpactWhat You'll DoAs a key member of our Central New England team, you'll support the planning, design, permitting, and construction of renewable energy and land development projects. Your work will include:Designing Sustainable InfrastructureDevelop site layouts, grading plans, and construction drawings using Civil 3D.Design stormwater management systems and prepare supporting hydraulic and drainage calculations.Support civil, water resources, and environmental engineering design efforts for renewable energy projects.Evaluate existing site conditions and identify practical engineering solutions.Bringing Projects from Concept to ConstructionPerform site investigations, field assessments, and engineering analyses.Analyze survey, GIS, geotechnical, and utility data to support project development.Assist with permitting strategies, regulatory coordination, and environmental compliance.Prepare technical reports, calculations, exhibits, and engineering documentation.Collaborating and InnovatingWork alongside engineers, planners, scientists, and project managers on multidisciplinary projects.Contribute ideas and technical expertise to solve complex design and construction challenges.Support project scoping, proposals, budgeting, and work planning activities.Help identify project risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.Making an ImpactSupport renewable energy projects that help communities meet sustainability goals.Contribute to projects funded at the federal, state, regional, and local levels.Participate in a culture that prioritizes safety, innovation, quality, and professional growth.Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.Who You AreWhat You'll BringRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.4 to 6 years of relevant civil engineering experience.Experience with site development, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and permitting.Working knowledge of civil engineering principles, codes, regulations, and construction practices.Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively both independently and collaboratively.Commitment to workplace safety and quality.Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.Preferred Qualifications:Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one.Experience with HydroCAD, ArcGIS, or similar design and modeling tools.Active involvement in professional engineering organizations.Why WSP?At WSP, you'll have the opportunity to work on projects that matter, alongside some of the industry's most respected professionals.
