Cornerstone Center for Early Learning is seeking an Center Manager to provide a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for children, families, staff, and visitors at the early childhood center. This position performs routine cleaning, sanitation, light maintenance, grounds upkeep, and facility-related tasks to support the daily operations of the center.

Responsibilites

• Clean and sanitize the center, including floors, surfaces, high-touch areas, restrooms, common areas, and other spaces as needed, while following health and sanitation procedures.
• Maintain a safe and well-kept facility by inspecting the building and grounds, addressing spills and hazards, and reporting maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs within the scope of training, including replacing light bulbs and filters and assisting with basic plumbing, painting, carpentry, furniture, and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain playgrounds, walkways, entrances, and common areas to ensure they remain clean, safe, and accessible.
• Manage custodial and maintenance supplies, including maintaining inventory and ensuring cleaning products, paper products, chemicals, tools, and equipment are properly stored away from children.
• Assist with center operations and events by setting up and breaking down spaces, moving furniture and equipment safely, and assisting with seasonal cleaning and special projects.
• Communicate facility needs to center leadership and support emergency preparedness, safety procedures, and the organization’s mission and values.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial, maintenance, janitorial, or facilities experience preferred.
• Ability to safely use common cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily responsibilities.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to interact respectfully and professionally with children, families, staff, and visitors.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow organizational policies.

Preferred

• Experience working in a childcare, preschool, school, healthcare, or other child-serving environment.
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repairs.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Knowledge of applicable childcare licensing and sanitation requirements.
