Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Department License: Registered Nurse Licensure in California Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: - Demonstrates understanding of evidence-based practice. - Knowledge of pathophysiology and pharmacological implications. - Ability to accurately document assessments and perform clinical procedures. - Effective patient and family education skills. - Ability to recognize changes in patient conditions. - Acts as a patient advocate and works independently and as part of a team. Description: Responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in an emergency room setting. Demonstrate knowledge of service line disease processes. Perform clinical procedures including IV insertion, Foley catheter placement, and wound dressings. Ensure proper use of tele monitoring and safe medication administration. Recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions effectively. Model safety behaviors and report incidents or near misses. Accept constructive feedback and maintain a professional appearance. Complete tasks within designated timeframes and accept assigned duties. Take initiative in conducting necessary follow-up on patient care. Engage in effective communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members. Work in a high-pressure environment with diverse patient demographics. Handle a wide range of emergency situations, including trauma, acute illnesses, and psychiatric emergencies. Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing electronic medical record systems. Participate in continuous learning and professional development.
