May supervise professional, paraprofessional, and clerical staff. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Identify and assess the learning, development, and adjustment characteristics and needs of individuals and groups, and the environmental factors that affect learning and adjustment. Use assessment data on the student and his/her environment(s) to develop appropriate interventions and programs. Provide interventions to students to support the teaching process and maximize learning and adjustment. Consult with parents, teachers, other school personnel, and community agencies to enhance learning and adjustment needs. Deliver a planned and coordinated program of psychological services. Apply ethics and standards of professional practice in the delivery of services and observe relevant laws and policies; participate in professional organizations and seek to improve knowledge and skill. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff. MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE Master’s degree in psychology preferred. Experience with testing, consultation, and program development. Valid NC Licensure required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Physical: Must be able to sit, stand, walk, drive a car, and lift boxes up to 10 pounds.
