Specialty Lab Assistant
$17.75 - $20 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks a Specialty Lab Assistant for specimen processing and accessioning in Monrovia, California. The casual per diem role involves preparing, labeling, routing, and shipping laboratory specimens while maintaining accurate patient data and meeting production goals.
Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and route to appropriate staging areas
- Accurately identify, label, pack, and ship specimens to testing facilities
- Enter patient information and resolve documented problem specimens
- Properly prepare, store, and manage excess specimen samples
- Meet department activity and production goals
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Ability to accurately identify and label specimens
- Strong data entry and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and pass color blindness test
Compensation: $17.75-$20.00 per hour
