Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Cardiac Telemetry/Stepdown – Georgia

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Schedule: 5:1 patient ratio across all shifts; every other weekend required; no call coverage; floating within facility/scope of practice as needed

Highlights:

• Cardiac telemetry/stepdown unit with 33-bed daily census treating diverse cardiovascular conditions
• Patient diagnoses include chest pain, NSTEMI/STEMI, cardiac catheterization (pre/post), TEE, cardioversions, stress tests, pacemakers, AMI, AFib, CHF, bradycardia, AICD insertion, and SVT/tachycardia
• Epic charting system preferred; comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy
• Adult and geriatric patient population; opportunity to work with advanced cardiac interventions and monitoring
• Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• Holiday requirements apply based on assignment length and number of major holidays within contract period

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac telemetry/stepdown nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Demonstrated competency in cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, central line and PICC line care, high flow nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and cardiac/vasoactive drip management with titration experience preferred
• Experience with post-cardiac catheterization and post-MI care essential
• Full compliance required to start on time; incomplete compliance results in two-week postponement due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Must complete core compliance items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing; all documents due Tuesday prior to start date
