Product Designer

Brahma Consulting is currently partnering with an incredibly exciting, well‑funded startup operating at the intersection of wireless networking, advanced hardware, and physical tracking technologies. As a Product Designer, you will shape and build our customer‑facing real‑time 3D positioning application. Modern AI tools have merged the work of product, design, and engineering, and this role does all three: you understand the customer and the problems the product solves, you design the solution, and you ship the code. You come from a design background and bring deep authority on design and craft, with the engineering chops to build your own work. This is a hands‑on, AI‑native role in a fast‑paced startup environment, where you push PRs, help shape product direction, and own your outcomes. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Drive the design and craft of the product, from interaction and visual design to the full user experience. Help shape product direction, grounded in how customers run their sites. Push PRs and ship real code, building your designs and product ideas directly in the codebase rather than handing off mockups. Build customer‑facing surfaces of the product that cover real‑time location, historical location, utilization, progress tracking, workflows, and geofences, along with its conversational and agentic AI experiences. Shape how natural language and automation reach operators on real sites, designing AI experiences that are clear and trustworthy. Own the outcome on real customer sites: talk to users directly, develop a deep understanding of how they operate and what they need, and turn it into design and product decisions. Use AI‑native design and development tooling to move from concept to working, deployed experience quickly. Raise the bar for craft and usability across the product as it grows and serves more customers. MUST HAVE ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS Strong product design capability across interaction, visual, and experience design, with a portfolio of shipped product surfaces you owned. Strong product instincts and direct user empathy: a track record of shaping what gets built and why, not only executing specs, and translating ambiguous, real‑world workflows into clear, usable interfaces. Agentic development capability: use AI‑native design and agentic coding tools to push PRs and ship production code, building your own work rather than handing it off, even if engineering is not your deepest discipline. Proven experience as a designer whose products were adopted by customers. SHOULD HAVE ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS Experience designing data‑dense or real‑time interfaces such as dashboards, maps, and operational tooling. Experience designing AI or agent‑mediated product experiences (chat, proactive intelligence, automation). Backend or full‑stack capability beyond frontend implementation. Fluency in Figma or comparable design tooling, moving fluidly between design and code. Experience working across design, product, and engineering in a small, fast‑moving team. NICE TO HAVE ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS Exposure to IoT, real‑time location, logistics, construction, healthcare operations, or other physical‑operations domains. Experience partnering closely with product and engineering to ship products to customers. A background that blends formal design training with hands‑on engineering.
