This role focuses on the design, analysis, prototyping, testing, and production release of complex mechatronic systems involving multi-axis motion, industrial automation, and robotic manipulation. The company is seeking someone with deep expertise in mechatronic system design, system dynamics, and motion systems who can thrive in a highly collaborative startup environment. You'll have significant ownership over product development, work alongside robotics, software, controls, and electrical engineers, and play a key role in bringing cutting-edge automation technology into production.Required Skills & Experience· Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or related discipline · 5–8 years of professional experience in robotics, automation, or industrial equipment development · Proven experience designing electro-mechanical systems from concept through production release · Strong expertise in actuator, motor, transmission, and sensor selection and integration · Experience working with encoders, load cells, proximity sensors, and other industrial sensing technologies · Expertise in system dynamics, simulation, modeling, and vibration analysis · Experience performing finite element analysis (FEA) for mechanical system validation · Proficiency with SolidWorks and mechanical CAD design tools · Experience creating engineering drawings and documentation compliant with ASME Y14.5 standards · Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities · Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsDesired Skills & Experience· MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field · Experience designing industrial tooling, fixtures, or automation equipment · Experience developing free body diagrams and governing equations for electro-mechanical systems · Experience performing static and dynamic load calculations · Experience conducting kinematic and motion analysis · Experience working with industrial controls and automation systems · Experience establishing engineering documentation processes, BOM structures, CAD vaults, and part numbering systems · MATLAB and/or Python programming experience · Startup experience developing products in fast-paced environmentsWhat You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown· 45% Mechanical & Mechatronic System Design · 25% Modeling, Simulation & Engineering Analysis · 20% Prototyping, Testing & Validation · 10% Documentation & Manufacturing SupportDaily Responsibilities· 70% Hands On · 10% Project Coordination · 20% Team CollaborationThe Offer• Bonus eligible • Equity eligibleYou will receive the following benefits:· Medical Insurance · Dental Benefits · Vision Benefits · Paid Time Off (PTO) · 401(k)Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.Specialization: Mechanical Engineering
