City and State Miami, FL Job Summary A well‑established General Contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to support preconstruction operations. This role is responsible for preparing accurate quantity takeoffs, building complete bid packages, and driving strong subcontractor participation across all trades. This is a hands‑on estimating position focused on plans, scopes, and subcontractor coverage — not project management. Pay Range $65k-$80k per year Key Responsibilities Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from complete construction drawing sets (architectural, structural, and MEP) Prepare and distribute comprehensive bid packages to subcontractors across all trades Proactively solicit, contact, and follow up with subcontractors daily to ensure strong bid coverage Develop and maintain a reliable subcontractor base within the local market Review subcontractor proposals and conduct bid leveling and scope analysis Identify scope gaps, overlaps, and potential risk areas within plans and bids Maintain organized bid tabs, takeoff files, and estimate documentation Collaborate closely with internal teams to produce accurate, competitive, and complete bids Qualifications 3+ years of estimating experience with a General Contractor Bilingual (English/Spanish) —Preferred Proficiency with PlanSwift or similar takeoff software (Bluebeam, OST, etc.) Strong ability to read and interpret full construction drawings and trade scopes Proven experience soliciting subcontractors and managing bid coverage Familiarity with the South Florida subcontractor market preferred Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple bids simultaneously Compensation & Benefits Salary: $65,000 – $80,000 (commensurate with experience) Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) Paid Time Off Schedule & Location Monday through Friday 8‑hour shifts In‑person role – Miami, FL Position Number 28325 Quality Labor Management (QLM) provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, transgender status or sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
