Night Shift Warehouse Operator: Forklift & Compliance

Responsibilities Be willing to work a continuous 12‑hour night shift. Responsible for loading and unloading of trucks. Perform physical preparation of customer orders. Move finished products in and out of warehouse and distribution center. Operate forklift and perform inspections. Inspect and label incoming materials and pull samples as required. Complete paperwork and administrative duties related to work order instruction sheets and bill of lading. Sign drivers in and out after normal business hours and on weekends. Prepare and conduct shift change meetings. Perform 5S activities and maintain housekeeping of assigned work areas. In the absence of the shipper or when requested by management, inspect loads as indicated by the warehouseman’s signature on the work order instruction sheet. Implement compliance programs for all federal, state and local regulations covering employee health, safety and the environment. Ensure all air, water and solid waste control systems under their jurisdiction are operating properly. Accommodate variable or temporarily increased workloads without loss of accuracy or precision. Initiate response to any spills, leaks, and emergency situations within assigned areas. Maintain, record, and document appropriate written and electronic operating records and data. Ensure all SOPs and assigned CBTs are up to date and current; use Outlook and SharePoint to supplement communication and documentation as needed. Satisfy all corporate quality requirements and ISO 9001 quality management system. Practice Responsible Care 14001 through active participation in the Responsible Care Management System. Work well with limited direction and supervision; follow written and oral instructions and directions. Be PC literate and possess good oral and written communication skills, as well as good interpersonal skills; maintain a good attitude and conduct. Demonstrate a performance record that shows competence in leading people, giving direction to others, ensuring high‑quality products, sharing experiences and ideas to improve effectiveness of the operation, and holding oneself and others accountable for results. Meet the physical requirements of the position’s physical job profile. Operate assigned equipment safely and encourage safety in others. Communicate directly with employees in the department and other departments that one will interact with. Maintain good housekeeping within the work area. Maintain appropriate operating records and safeguard company equipment. Accurately complete inventory "Put‑away" and "Pick" documentation. Oversee all activities and operations within the area of responsibility. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Solid verbal and written communication skills. Strong general math skills. Strong mechanical aptitude. Forklift trained. Prior experience in manufacturing and/or distribution and logistics. PC literate with good oral and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills; maintain a good attitude and conduct. Required Software MS Office. SAP. Proficiency with or ability to learn relevant distribution and logistics operating systems. Salary Starting hourly rate: $30.89.
