Behavioral Health Registered Nurse

Seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to deliver care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role involves patient assessment, care, and treatment under general supervision.

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care.
• Supervise healthcare staff.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Apply emergency procedures and CPR.
• Interact effectively with patients and staff.
• Implement Safe Use of Restraint (SUR) procedures.

Qualifications:

• Active Texas RN licensure or Nurse Licensure Compact eligibility.
• Current CPR certification.
• Preferably two years of nursing experience, including six months as an RN.
• Experience with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Availability for rotational weekends and flexible shifts.

Schedule:

• 40 hours/week
• Shifts: 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
• Rotational weekends

Additional information:

• 4-week orientation (education and training).
• Patient ratios: 9-10, adjusted as needed.
• Floating to different units may be required.

Certifications:

• Maintain CPR certification.
