Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | Sunday – Saturday availability required | Standby/call requirements include 2 weekend shifts and approximately 5 weekday call shifts per month

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room
• Assist with and support robotic cardiac surgical procedures
• Perform scrub and/or circulating roles as required within the OR setting
• Maintain patient safety, sterile technique, and adherence to surgical protocols throughout procedures
• Participate in standby and on-call coverage as scheduled, including weekday and weekend call shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of California (Temporary or Permanent; in hand at time of submittal)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
• Minimum 1.5 years of continuous experience in the Operating Room specialty
• Cardiac OR experience required, including robotic cardiac procedures
• EPIC EMR experience, or combined EPIC/Cerner experience, within the last 6 months of work history
• Minimum 1 year total travel nursing experience, with at least 6 months of continuous travel experience immediately preceding submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Broad general OR experience across multiple surgical service lines
• Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical platforms and associated instrumentation
