In this consultative sales role, you’ll serve as a trusted expert, educating homeowners on HVAC systems, energy savings, indoor comfort solutions, and maintenance best practices while building long‑term customer relationships. Core Responsibilities Conduct in‑home consultations to assess customer needs and recommend HVAC solutions. Educate homeowners on system options, rebates, financing opportunities, energy‑efficiency incentives, and long‑term ownership costs. Prepare detailed proposals and estimates, ensuring accuracy and clarity. Build long‑term relationships with customers by providing a trusted and professional experience. Follow up with potential and existing customers to nurture relationships, close sales, and confirm satisfaction. Offer and educate customers on add‑on products including indoor air quality systems, humidifiers, smart thermostats, UV lights, air purification systems, and other comfort‑enhancing solutions. Ensure installation teams are equipped with the information and resources needed for successful project execution. Collaborate closely with service technicians, installers, and office staff to ensure exceptional customer experiences. Maintain clear, timely communication with customers and internal teams throughout the sales and installation process. Stay informed on the latest HVAC technologies, products, industry trends, and best practices. Maintain an organized sales pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and customer interactions through company CRM systems. Work closely with installation teams to ensure smooth project execution and seamless customer handoffs. Deliver exceptional customer service before, during, and after installation. Represent Comfort Systems of Montana with professionalism, integrity, and a steadfast commitment to customer satisfaction. Qualifications Proven sales track record within the HVAC industry. Minimum of 2‑3 years of HVAC sales experience preferred. Strong understanding of residential HVAC systems and comfort solutions. Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple, customer‑friendly manner. Strong consultative sales skills focused on solving problems and building trust. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and driven to succeed. Experience using CRM software, proposal systems, and sales tracking tools.
