Marketing Content Specialist

Department: Marketing Reports To: VP, Marketing Salary Range: $68,000–$72,000 annually Job Overview IDW Publishing is seeking a creative, organized, and digitally savvy Content Marketing Specialist to support marketing campaigns across our comics, graphic novels, licensed franchises, and direct-to-consumer initiatives. This hands-on role combines digital content production, video and photography, paid advertising, and cross-functional campaign support. The ideal candidate is a versatile storyteller who can create compelling content, engage audiences on camera, and use digital marketing tools to drive awareness, engagement, and sales. Responsibilities Create engaging digital marketing assets, including social media graphics, promotional videos, trailers, photography, digital advertising, and email marketing content. Produce and edit short-form videos, creator interviews, product showcases, and promotional content for digital platforms. Serve as on-camera talent when appropriate, including hosting interviews, presenting products, and creating promotional or social media content. Support the execution and optimization of paid advertising campaigns through Amazon Ads and Meta Ads Manager, including audience targeting, campaign setup, creative testing, budget monitoring, and performance reporting. Develop Amazon A+ content, digital merchandising assets, retailer materials, and sales presentations. Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Editorial, Publicity, Design, Licensing, and Events to support promotional campaigns and product launches. Participate in title launch meetings and contribute creative ideas, promotional concepts, and campaign materials. Support IDW's presence at conventions, industry events, and fan activations, including on-site content creation, interviews, and promotional activities, with occasional travel as needed. Manage multiple content projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, brand consistency, and organized asset management. Explore emerging content trends, digital platforms, and creative tools to improve production efficiency and audience engagement. Assist with additional marketing initiatives and special projects as needed. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in content marketing, digital media, creative production, entertainment, publishing, or a related field. Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and InDesign. Demonstrated experience producing and editing video content, digital graphics, and photography. Working knowledge of Amazon Advertising and Meta Ads Manager, including campaign management, audience targeting, and performance analytics. Comfortable appearing on camera, conducting interviews, and representing a brand in promotional content. Understanding of social media platforms, digital advertising formats, and content marketing best practices. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple projects. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments. Familiarity with Amazon A+ Content, email marketing platforms, and project management tools preferred. Passion for comics, graphic novels, entertainment, and pop culture strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
