Manufacturing Planner

POSITION SUMMARYThis position is responsible for creating & releasing detailed work instructions for production through translation of all pertinent technical data which includes customer purchase order, drawings, specifications and other related information as it pertains to completing manufactured parts for the aerospace industry.The Manufacturing Planner will support Assembly, CNC, and Molding Departments to ensure all work instructions are effective and utilized correctly.ELEMENTS RELATED TO THE FUNCTIONPosition Type: Non-ExemptLocation: Demgy Pacific, LLC, Tacoma WAJOB SKILL REQUIREMENTSAble to read & interpret engineering drawings, parts lists, and specificationsAbility to visualize the manufacturing process and the sequence of operations required to produce the productWorking knowledge of computers - intermediate to advanced skill with Microsoft Office, CAD/CAM. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.APPLICABLE METRICSAdhere to the Demgy Pacific attendance point systemAdhere to the Demgy Pacific job variance to standard metricAdhere to the Demgy Pacific Safety protocols.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESReview and analyze engineering drawings, parts lists, and other data to determine manufacturing requirements including materials and labor to ensure new work requirements are thoroughEnsure that all routings accurately reflect the steps used to construct the item with respect to sequence, full and accurate description of steps to be taken, accurate reflection of the time taken to build the partSupport production personnel, purchasing, program managementCreate work instructions compliant with company BMS proceduresReview and update existing work instructions to implement improvementsReview and suggest changes to improve the Work Instruction development process to create efficienciesMonitor and report on KPI progress such as Work Instruction Created, Work Instruction Process Audits and ValidationTroubleshoot issues with Work Instruction use, effectiveness, and improvementsCreate and maintain reporting documents and recordsAssist the Engineering team to transition work from Engineering to ManufacturingProvide support for the long-term transition to digital work instructionsEMPLOYEE RESPONSIBILITIESUphold and comply with Demgy’s Code of Ethics and ConductFollow safety policiesContribute to the success of the company’s environmental, health & safety programMaintain a positive working relationship with co-workers in all departmentsMaintain accurate documentation as required, following DEMGY Pacific’s document and record control procedures as applicable to the positionEnsure that housekeeping within the department is properly maintained.Follow Demgy 5S program (workstation organization/locations maintained)Follow policies outlined in the Employee HandbookPerform other duties as directed by the supervisorMINIMUM EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredPost-secondary education that includes technical writing, engineering, sciences required3-5 years of manufacturing experience preferredExperienced with aerospace product drawings and specifications preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
