As a Product Technology Manager you’ll focus on evaluating software platforms through an integrated commercial, operational, and financial lens. The team provides investment-grade insights that tie product architecture and roadmap credibility directly to valuation, growth, and margin sustainability. Lead Product Technology Diligence engagements for Private Equity and strategic clients, assessing software platforms across technical architecture, product strategy, operational scalability, and financial sustainability. This role requires the ability to tie commercial, operational, and financial performance of a software platform directly to its technology architecture and roadmap.From day one, you’ll be empowered to help clients make the moves that will help them achieve their vision and help you achieve more, confidently. Your day-to-day may include:Analyze application architecture and scalabilityReview cloud infrastructure and cost structureAssess product modularity and extensibilityAnalyze technical debt and refactoring riskReview SDLC processes and engineering metricsSupport analysis of hosting cost models and R&D cost allocationAssist in assessing roadmap investment requirementsLink technical findings to growth scalability and margin implicationsSupport development of investment-grade red flag reportsEvaluate engineering productivityAssess product governanceIdentify operational inefficiencies impacting roadmap deliveryYou have the following technical skills and qualifications:6–9 years in software engineering leadership, architecture consulting, product strategy advisory, or tech diligenceExperience in SaaS, marketplace, fintech, vertical software, or platform environmentsStrong understanding of cloud cost structures and DevOps environmentsStrong analytical capabilityCommercial awarenessClear written and verbal communicationAbility to operate in transaction-speed environmentsAbility to travel up to 50%The base salary range for this position is between $182,144 and $227,643. Placement within the pay range is at Grant Thornton’s discretion, and it is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, job -related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, progression within the role, geographic location, and internal equity.
