Radiation Therapist

Position Summary Primary City/State: Sun City, Arizona. Department Name: Radiation Oncology. Work Shift: Day. This role involves prescribing and administering radiotherapy treatments in accordance with departmental policies and regulatory standards, including patient assessment, treatment planning, quality assurance, equipment maintenance, and patient education. Core Functions Performs radiation therapy treatments following referring providers’ orders and departmental procedures. Educates patients and families regarding procedures and treatment. Operates simulation and treatment planning equipment and prepares treatments. Maintains accurate documentation and performs invasive procedures as required. Performs equipment quality control measurements and troubleshoots issues. Ensures radiation safety practices and handling of radioactive materials. Maintains confidentiality of all work information. Ensures efficient operation of departmental workflow and assists internal and interdisciplinary customers. Responsibilities (Schedule) Schedule: 40 hours, Monday–Friday, 8‑hour shifts. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in radiation oncology or a related field, with strong knowledge of clinical care. National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. State licensure where applicable. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Knowledge of clinical techniques and equipment relevant to the area of work. Effective communication, human relations skills, and a safety‑conscious mindset.
