Laborer

JOB SUMMARY / GENERAL DESCRIPTION:Performs general labor duties in support of utility and civil construction operations. Assists with the installation, maintenance, and repair of utility infrastructure.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Performs physical labor tasks including digging, trenching, shoveling, loading and unloading materials, setting structures, and site cleanupAssists with job site setup, maintenance, and breakdownFollows directions from the Foreman or Site Supervisor to support daily project activitiesSafely operates hand tools and equipment in accordance with company policies and OSHA standardsWorks effectively as part of a crew in fast-paced outdoor environmentsMaintains accurate timesheets and daily work recordsDrive to and from job sitesAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual laborComplies with all safety rules, procedures, and regulationsPerforms other duties as assignedMINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:Must be at least 18 years of age by the start date of employmentOSHA 10‑Hour Certification required at time of hire or within 90 days thereafter.3 years experience in utilities, telecommunications, civil construction, or related field (preferred)Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.Commercial Driver License or willingness to obtain (preferred)Ability to pass a drug test, background check, and medical card evaluation.Knowledge of basic construction safety practicesAbility to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English related to job duties and safety requirements.WORKING CONDITIONS:Outdoor construction work environmentExposure to varying weather conditionsPhysically demanding work including standing, walking, lifting, bending, and digging #J-18808-Ljbffr Utility-Construction-Specialists
