Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in a hospital setting. This position involves providing patient care on a 30-bed medical-surgical unit with a focus on wound care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV starts, and NGT placement. The role supports a family-centered environment with a team experienced in utilizing advanced equipment and technology. Job Details Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS certification; no specific experience required beyond basic clinical skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience with IV starts, NGT placement, wound care, and cardiac rhythm interpretation is preferred Additional Information: The unit utilizes wound vacs, heparin infusions, suction devices, IV pumps, glucometers, bladder scanners, feeding pumps, and telemetry monitoring. Staff work in a family-oriented environment with a focus on positive patient experience, service recovery, and escalation of concerns through the chain of command. The unit promotes a positive and learning-focused atmosphere, with staff recognized through awards and recognition programs. Float: Float rotation may be required between 2 North and 2 West units.
