Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

Location: New York, NY

Position Type: Contract (13 Weeks)

Pay Rate: $48–$58/hour

Shift & Schedule:

• Day Shift

• Monday–Friday

• 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• 5 × 8-hour shifts

• 40 hours per week

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations and provide high-quality patient care in a hospital imaging department. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in general ultrasound imaging and the ability to work collaboratively with radiologists and the imaging team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to departmental protocols.

• Prepare, position, and educate patients before imaging procedures.

• Operate ultrasound equipment and perform minor troubleshooting as needed.

• Capture and transfer diagnostic images through the PACS system.

• Assist Radiologists during ultrasound procedures as needed.

• Maintain adequate imaging supplies and a clean, organized work area.

• Assist with orienting and mentoring new Ultrasound Technologists.

• Schedule examinations and coordinate patient transportation when required.

• Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care while maintaining safety standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Ultrasound Technologist experience

• ARDMS certification

• Associate Degree from an accredited program

• Strong knowledge of general ultrasound procedures and patient care

• Proficiency with PACS and Microsoft Office

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Work Setting:

• Hospital Imaging Department

• Full-Time Contract Assignment

• Day Shift
