About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Operating Room Nurse – New York**Start Date:** October 29, 2026 **Location:** Upstate New York **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** No weekends; 1 call shift per month if needed; 8-hour non-billable orientation**Highlights:** - 14 operating rooms plus Labor & Delivery coverage for C-sections with approximately 50 procedures per day- Surgical specialties include vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotics, urology, and ENT (excludes cardiac and ophthalmology)- Patient population ranges from pediatric to adult in a full-service surgical environment- EPIC electronic medical record system utilized facility-wide- Primarily circulating position with scrub experience highly valued- Holiday, call-back, and overtime paid at 1.25x multiplier; call paid at $4/hour**Requirements:** - Active New York RN license and New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate- Minimum 2+ years of current Operating Room experience required- Previous travel nursing experience required- EPIC EMR experience mandatory- Both scrub and circulate experience required- Float experience across vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotics, urology, and ENT required- Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required- Completion of verbal de-escalation training from Welle, CPI, or PMCS prior to start date- Must have reliable personal vehicle- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds- Negative 14-panel drug screen (specific panel requirements apply) within 24 hours of offer acceptance- Current skills checklist and supervisory reference from within the past two years- Requested time off must be submitted at time of application**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This position offers experienced OR nurses the chance to work with diverse surgical specialties in a high-volume, well-equipped facility using the EPIC system.
