Overview Education (Adjunct Pool) - Student Teaching Supervisors Hartwick College is accepting applications on a continuing basis for qualified instructors to serve as student teaching supervisors in the Education Department. Qualified applicants must possess a master’s degree in Education or a closely related field, along with a minimum of 10 years of successful teaching and/or school-based leadership experience. Responsibilities Support and evaluate teacher candidates during field placements through regular school visits, observation, and feedback. Conduct six formal teaching observations per student teacher each semester. Maintain communication with cooperating teachers and college faculty. Submit required evaluation documentation in a timely manner. Availability during regular public-school hours, typically Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. All supervision responsibilities are conducted face-to-face in local school settings; remote applications will not be considered. Responsible for transportation to assigned field placements. This adjunct pool will be used on an as-needed basis as opportunities arise. Applications will remain active for up to two years. Qualifications Master’s degree in Education or a closely related field. Minimum of 10 years of successful teaching and/or school-based leadership experience.
