Senior Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Design and develop new tools and fixtures to support manufacturing of both new and existing products; including proprietary manufacturing equipment for the site.
• Source, procure, and install new manufacturing process equipment.
• Design, implement, and manage new manufacturing processes and process improvements.
• Identify alternative options to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.
• Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement, and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Work closely with Manufacturing Supervisors, Operators, and other Engineering resources in helping to both identify process improvement needs and their implementation.
• Provide technical support & technical direction in addressing manufacturing issues.
• Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with all company quality standards.

Skills and Experience

• 10+ years of design and development experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to manage multiple and varied projects and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing improvement initiatives.
• Experience using mechanical design software, i.e. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.
• Aptitude for mechanical and motion-controlled devices.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Team player with excellent organizational and communication skills.
• BS degree in Engineering or equivalent.
