Position Description Summary Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania invites applications for temporary faculty positions (full-time one semester, part-time one semester or part-time academic year) as needs arise in theDepartment of K-12, HPE, Middle Level & Secondary Education. Duties Based on the specific needs of the department at the time of appointment, a successful applicant must be qualified to either teach department courses and/or supervise student teachers and/or field experiences. The location for these temporary positions varies with the expectation of serving a multi-campus University within the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. Qualifying Experience and Education (Minimum/Preferred) Minimum Requirements: Masters Degree with experience teaching in K-12 schools related to the discipline associated with the course instructions or supervision need for the position. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Masters Degree with at least two year's experience either teaching and/or supervising student teachers and/or clinical teaching experiences in the discipline associated with the position to be hired. Completing this search is contingent upon student enrollment and available funding. Faculty may be assigned to provide instruction through distance education. In order to qualify for a provisional appointment, the Applicant Acknowledgement Consent Form, Provisional Hire Form, Pennsylvania State Police and Justifacts portion of the clearance process must be successfully completed prior to your start date.
