American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and Siemens equipment proficiency for a role at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital.

Details

• Evening shift, 3x12 hours, Friday-Sunday (3:00 PM-3:00 AM), with start times subject to change by up to 2 hours based on department needs
• No on-call requirement
• May be required to float to a nearby outpatient clinic location
• Uses Siemens CT equipment and Epic charting system
• Holiday coverage required, scheduled based on unit need

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• BLS, ARRT(R), and ARRT(CT) certifications required
• Epic and Siemens experience required
• Virginia state license required if applicable; active license from any state accepted while VA license processes
• Experience with contrast media preparation/administration and radiation safety
• Travel experience required
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Level I/II trauma experience preferred

Additional Information

• Position is based at a 700+ bed acute care teaching hospital that is a Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated, and certified stroke center
• Perform CT imaging across abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal systems, along with special procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, and vascular CTA studies
• Utilize 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement for image display and post-processing
• Work across various settings including adult and pediatric acute care, outpatient, ICU, and emergency department
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront with application
• Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible, calculated from the driver's license address
• Previous employees must have a break of at least one year before returning as a traveler
