Shipping & Receiving CoordinatorThe Shipping & Receiving Coordinator performs daily shipping, receiving, and inventory activities to ensure the accurate and timely movement of materials. This role also guides the daily work of the department, prioritizes tasks, and supports efficient, safe, and accurate operations.Essential Functions:Works with operations and assists planning with coordination of incoming and outgoing shipmentsProvide inventory management support: part numbers, balances, physical inventory, cycle counts and reportsCompares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other recordsPrepares shipments for conveyance; determining the most economical and efficient shipping method, selects appropriate shipping containers and packs items to ensure safe deliveryCompares quotes from various carriers to determine the best choice based on price, transit time, and performance historyMaintain and update shipping and delivery logsAnswer internal team and customer inquiries regarding shipping and tracking questionsOperates lift truck or uses hand truck to move or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work areaPerform other related duties or responsibilities as requested or required.Required Qualifications & Experience:Must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related dataHigh School Diploma or G.E.D required5+ years of experience in shipping and receiving, aerospace preferredDesired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization.Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices.Ability to read, write, and understand English at a functional level.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word)Ability to travel 5-10% when required.Physical Demands / Work Capacity EvaluationThe essential functions of this position may vary based on specific assignments, work locations, and operational needs.
