About the Position

Job Title: NICU Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Nursing Administration Duration: 16 weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 1-2 years License: RN Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE (preferred) Must-Have: Experience in a level III NICU, oxygen therapy, nitric oxide, CPAP, chest tube, care of micro preemies, experience with intubated and vented neonates, delivery experience, transport experience (preferred) Description: This position is for a NICU Registered Nurse in a Level III NICU. The nurse will provide care for micropreemies and infants with conditions such as respiratory distress and neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS). The patient ratios are 1:1-3 for day and night shifts. Support staff includes a CNA and a charge nurse who also takes assignments. Bedside and nurses station monitoring is available with no dedicated telemetry technician. A neonatologist and Nurse Practitioner are in-house 24/7. Charting is conducted using EPIC and equipment includes Alaris and Pyxis. Weekend rotation is required every other week. On-call duties are not part of this position. Time off requests can be approved for up to 7 days. Scrub color is any color.
