Job Description
The Water Leak Locator is responsible for identifying and locating leaks within various water systems using specialized acoustic sensor equipment. This role requires frequent travel to different sites and working in diverse environments, ensuring water system integrity and prompt issue resolution. The position involves occasional direct communication with customers and meticulous documentation of findings and maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- Detect leaks using acoustic sensor equipment
- Operate and maintain leak detection tools
- Inspect sites across mixed work environments
- Record data and document inspection results
- Report maintenance and repair needs accurately
- Engage with customers occasionally to explain findings
- Diagnose problems related to water leaks
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in leak detection
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with leak detection equipment
- Basic plumbing knowledge
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Effective problem-solving abilities
- Physical stamina for varied work environments
