About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department (ED) for a 13-week contract opportunity in Kealakekua, Hawaii. The RN will provide emergency nursing care to patients across all age groups and populations in a 15-bed Emergency Department with an additional 6-bed fast-track area.

The position requires strong emergency nursing assessment, prioritization, and clinical response skills in a fast-paced environment. Epic is used for electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and provide emergency nursing care to patients across all age groups and acuity levels.

• Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate emergency nursing interventions.

• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and emergency therapies while monitoring patient response.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate timely, patient-centered emergency care.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using Epic EMR and support efficient patient flow throughout the Emergency Department.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 Years of Recent Emergency Department Registered Nurse Experience Required.

• Current, Active Hawaii Registered Nurse License Required.

• Current BLS/BCLS and ACLS Certifications Required.

• Current PALS and TNCC Certifications Required.

• Ability to Work Day, Evening, or Night Shifts and Required Holiday Coverage; Experience Providing Emergency Care Across Diverse Patient Populations Required.
