Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Or Neonatal Physician Assistant

The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or Neonatal Physician Assistant (PA) provides comprehensive, evidence-based clinical care to neonates in The Valley Hospital Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. In addition, the APP may provide clinical support to the newborn Nursery and attend routine newborn deliveries as needed. In alignment with Valley Health System's mission, values, and commitment to excellence in patient- and family-centered care, the NNP/PA collaborates with neonatologists and the interdisciplinary care team to optimize clinical outcomes, safety, and the family experience.

Education

• Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program
• Current New Jersey Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse licensure
• National certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NCC or equivalent)
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification NeonatalOR
• Physician Assistant Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current New Jersey Physician Assistant licensure
• NCCPA certification
• Neonatal or critical care experience strongly preferred
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Experience

Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical practice experience in related field. Experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU Demonstrated competency in neonatal procedures and acute clinical decision-making

Skills

Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills Interest in quality improvement, education, or program development Position includes day, night, weekend, holiday, and overnight in-house coverage based on departmental and operational needs

Salary

• Minimum new grad base salary $154 K. Salary commensurate with years of experience as an NP/PAPlease note: The posted pay range reflects the compensation for a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE)
• Ability to earn up to 5% quality incentive.
