Job Summary:
This Cytotechnologist position involves performing high-quality cytology screenings to detect abnormal cellular changes. The role requires maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to laboratory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Examine cytology specimens to identify abnormal cells and cellular patterns.
• Prepare and process slides with precision to ensure optimal evaluation.
• Maintain detailed reports of findings and escalate concerns to supervising staff.
• Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
• Stay current with laboratory testing procedures and certification requirements.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 3 years of cytology experience; 5 years preferred.
• Hold ASCP Board Certification as a Cytotechnologist or Cytologist.
• Maintain NYS Cytotechnologist or Cytologist license.
• Provide current proof of passing Pap PT testing for the calendar year or scheduled PT testing.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
